When we are not at the lake in northern Michigan, I swim the dogs at the pond in our neighborhood. On the pond bank stands a grand old willow tree of prodigious proportions, four feet in diameter if it is an inch. Sometimes I sit under this tree and throw the tennis balls into the pond for our dogs to fetch just as they do at the lake in Michigan.
