Striped Brass is a fish that has been reincarnated. If you were at the NYC Pleiades show you will no doubt recognize Striped Brass as Vertical Fish, just mounted differently. I converted Vertical Fish to a horizontal fish.
The more I looked at Vertical Fish, the more I felt this work needed a more realistic landscape orientation. So, I cut Vertical Fish free (literally from the heavy stainless steel base) and let him “swim” in the manner to which he is accustomed. See below images of the newly-recreated Striped Brass now mounted horizontally on a heavy cedar base.
