Meetinghouse Road (Oct 2015)

This scene is only about a quarter mile from our home and a stone’s throw from the Birmingham-LaFayette Cemetery where I’ve painted several times.

The Meetinghouse Road field was filled with a brilliant yellow hue. I believe this resulted from the sun’s reflection on the dying grass whose blades were now bright yellow at the tips from an overnight hoar frost. The sun was bright enough to cause even dying grass to shimmer brightly.
