Sous Bois – morning (Jun 2015)

With the foliage so fresh, young and vibrant green, the morning sun shone even brighter from the resultant reflections off leaf and blade.

I should explain that the sailboat pictured is not some Dali-like phantasm. Rather, this scene is just off our driveway at the cottage where a wooden sculpture resides. As penance for botching the felling of an old, dead maple, I carved the sailboat from the tall stump remaining.
