Le Plongeon Arrière [The Back Dive]

I really like to capture actions of a figure at a time in which the posture or position of figure defies gravity.  That is, I like to capture a moment that one otherwise does not see for more than a fleeting glimpse. Le Plongeon Arrière is just such a sculpture as you can see the man leaping backward into thin air as he plunges from his perch.  Even though you know him to be leaping, he is frozen mid-leap from which point he can go no further.
