First Live Model Drawing Experience (Mar 2012)

To date, most of the figures I sketch are from memory or other mental imagery.  But Monday saw my first live model sketching experience.  Over the course of three hours the model posed in various positions for varying lengths of time up to 20 minutes.  I have attached a handful of my studies from this exercise in the slideshow below. All are in charcoal save for one in which I used oil pastels.  The poses for these images range from 5 minute to 20 minute studies. It is an arduous exercise to focus on form for three hours, but I am going back next Monday.
