This work was named by our son, Will, and his friends. On a summer’s evening (in advance of Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia) they found this work to resemble the Pope’s headgear, his mitre. And so the work was named.
The sculpture is lighted from underneath as the large diameter stainless steel base houses an outdoor lighting fixture.
