Attached is an image of my painting Lucky Hill Road. It is a stylized interpretation of this southern Chester County PA plein air scene. The day I painted was a beautiful and sunny, but cool, November day. The earthy smells of autumn were in abundance and, for the most part, it was just me and the squirrels out there on that idyllic road. Although Lucky Hill Road has a paved asphalt surface, I transformed it into a deeply-rutted, old dirt road . . . it seemed more befitting the scene.
My next painting is from a cemetery dating back to the Revolutionary War. This work is titled, Sculpted Arborvitae. Click here to see the picture of these arborvitae.
