Brancusi Leg ~ Tribute to Constantin Brancusi (Aug 2011)

I have always loved the work of Constantin Brancusi, a Romanian sculptor of the 19th and 20th century.  In particular, Bird in Space is a Brancusi sculpture that has inspired and awed me for many years.  [See Bird in Space image.] My work, Brancusi Leg, rises from its wood base plates in such a manner as to put me in mind of Brancusi’s sleek lines.

I am attaching several images of Brancusi Leg because it is a different sculpture from every angle you view it.  For this reason, I exhibited this work on a turn table to afford these several views.   Take control of the slideshow by hovering the cursor over the images so you can move forward, back, etc.
