A Stratified Fountain (May 2013)

This fountain was inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and in particular his architectural masterpiece Fallingwater located in Bear Run, Pennsylvania. Fallingwater was designed and built for Edgar J. Kaufmann of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The home’s cantilevered decks and constant presence of water inspired me to combine these two features and hence the fountain was conceived.

For a close up view of the fountain click here to view the video. Of course, the fountain and base are staged temporarily to permit video taping. The final base will be similar to what is pictured but, of course, no leveling shims will be evident.
