Paintings

Thank you for visiting the gallery of my paintings.

This collection of my paintings constitutes the inaugural exhibition of 11 paintings, all of which were completed in 2012. Painting was a new medium for me in 2012. In fact, except for the first one, all of these works were created in the last five months of 2012. It was in August 2012 that I first painted with oil.

At the beginning of the gallery you will find my first painting, Red Umbrella, a work in acrylic paints.  After that, you can travel though my remaining 10 works, all of which are oils. Mostly, these pictures are landscapes from northern Michigan and southeastern Pennsylvania, but there is one self-portrait.

Enter the gallery below by clicking on the title of the first painting. From there see the pages that chronicle each painting’s setting, mood and the context. You’ll see a thumbnail image of each work but a larger version appears if you click on the thumbnail image. From each page you can get to the next painting in the gallery.

More works will be added as they come out of the studio.

Thanks for visiting and as always I welcome your comments.

Best, Tom
