Exotic Fish (Oct 2014) Held in Private Collection

Exotic Fish presents a first for me in a couple of techniques and media:  I used gold leaf and cobalt blue oil paint to ornament this work which is made of steel. The eyes and mouth are adorned with gold leaf while brazing adds the brassy stripes to enhance the cobalt blue body. It is underwelded to a steel plate and mounted on a basswood base. Dimensions are 5 x 12 x 13.
